The following is switched on via the central switching unit:

- front window heater
- direction indicators, anti-theft system and burglar alarm
- central locking and infrared signal receiver from the remote control
- heated seat adjustment
- roof sunroof
- ride height control
Attention! If a defect occurs in the operation of one of the functions of the switching unit, this malfunction is recorded by the self-diagnosis system. Using a special tester, you can determine the fault code. When replacing the central switching unit, it must be identified using a special tester, and then the new switching unit must be programmed by entering into it the read data of the old unit. To perform these works, the RENAULT tester is connected to the diagnostic socket 1 (see illustration 6.0). These works are carried out in the workshop.
