The switches for the direction indicators, headlights and windshield wipers are so-called steering column switches.
Removal
1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery cable terminal.
Warning! This will erase some data from the memory of the storage devices, for example, the access code that prevents unauthorized use of the radio receiver will be erased. Before disconnecting the battery, please read the instructions in the chapter "Removal and installation the battery".
2. Remove the steering wheel.
Caution: Please observe the safety precautions regarding airbags.
3. Remove the steering column trim. First remove the lower part of the trim by unscrewing the three screws C and pushing the trim down (see illustration).

4. Unscrew the three screws E that secure the upper part of the steering column trim and remove the trim (see illustration).

5. Remove the windshield wiper switch. To do this, disconnect the plug, unscrew the screws 1 and move the switch to the right side of the steering column (see illustration).

6. Remove the turn signal switch. To do this, disconnect plug 2, unscrew screws 1 and move the switch to the left side of the steering column (see illustration).

7. Remove the steering column switch holder by unscrewing bolt F (see illustration). After this, remove the holder from the steering shaft together with the spiral.

Installation
8. Place the steering column switch holder on the steering shaft and secure it with bolt F (see illustration 30.7).
9. Connect the steering column switches to the holder.
10. Connect the multi-pin plug.
11. Reinstall the steering column trim.
12. Reinstall the steering wheel.
13. Connect the negative (-) battery terminal to the negative battery terminal.

14. Set the clock and program the radio.
15. Check the functionality of the steering column switches.
