Removal



1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery cable terminal.

Warning! This will erase some data from the memory of the storage devices, for example, the access code that prevents unauthorized use of the radio receiver will be erased. Before disconnecting the battery, please read the instructions in the chapter "Removal and installation the battery".


2. Remove the steering wheel.

3. Remove the lower part of the steering column trim by unscrewing the three screws C (see illustration 30.3).

4. Move the ignition switch plug downwards and release it from the mounting A, and then disconnect it (see illustration).

5. Disconnect the ignition switch mounting clamp.

6. Insert the key into the ignition switch and turn it to position 3 (see illustration).

7. Unscrew the mounting bolt on the side of the lock switch and remove the switch (cylinder).

Installation



8. Set the switch in the lock together with the key to position 3 (see illustration 32.6).

9. Screw in the switch mounting bolt and secure the ignition switch with a clamp.

10. Put the wiring harness back in place. If necessary, secure it with harness clamps on the parts located there.

11. Connect the power plug to the ignition switch and secure the plug in the mount (see illustration).

12. Reinstall the steering column trim.

13. Put the steering wheel back in place.

14. Connect the negative (-) battery terminal to the negative battery terminal.

15. Set the clock and program the radio.

16. Check the functionality of the ignition switch.
