1. A CV joint is installed at each end of the drive shafts. Older driveshafts only have Lobro joints (from the side of the wheel) and hinges G1 82 (from the gearbox side). New generation models fitted with Lobro hinges (from the side of the wheel) and hinges G1 82 and RC 490 (from the gearbox side).
2. Use grease to install the drive shafts into the steering knuckles. If the disc brake calipers are removed, the screw threads also require a small amount of lubricant.
3. New driveshafts are sold with hinge guards and installation instructions.
