Towing is prohibited if the weight of the car with a trailer is equal to the maximum permitted weight of the car with a load.
- The permissible weight of the towed trailer, which is regulated by local laws and including traffic regulations, must be strictly observed. For questions about adjusting the towing device, contact the service station.
- When towing, it is unacceptable to exceed the maximum permitted weight (car and towed trailer). However, it is allowed:
- exceeding the maximum permitted load on the rear wheels by a maximum of 15%,
- exceeding the maximum permitted weight of the vehicle with a load by a maximum of 10%, but not more than 100 kg.
- In both cases, the maximum speed of the vehicle with trailer must not exceed 100 km/h and the air pressure in the tires must be increased by 0.2 bar (3 PSI).
- Engine power and vehicle climbing ability are reduced in high altitude conditions, we recommend reducing the maximum load by 10% for every 1000m of ascent and then by an additional 10% for every 1000m of ascent.
