Removal
Turn the windshield wiper switch from position (0) to position (1), then from position (1) to position (0).
Disconnect the battery.
Remove the wiper arms.
Remove the nut caps (1).
Remove the engine compartment seal (3).
Remove:
- two side mounting screws (4) of the air intake niche grille,
- the right half of the air intake niche grille (5).
Remove the left half of the air intake niche grille (6).
Disconnect the windshield wiper motor connector (7).
Note: The fastening nuts (8) of the windscreen wiper mechanism are fragile: their threaded part is made of plastic.
Remove:
- windshield wiper mechanism mounting bolts (8),
- bolts (9) for fastening the windshield wiper mechanism,
- washers.
Remove the windshield wiper mechanism.
Installation
Install:
- windshield wiper mechanism,
- washers,
- windshield wiper mechanism mounting bolts,
- windshield wiper mechanism mounting bolts.
Tighten to the specified torque:
- windshield wiper mechanism mounting bolts (8 Nm),
- front windscreen wiper mechanism mounting nuts (8 Nm).
Connect the windshield wiper motor connector.
Install:
- the right half of the air intake niche grille.
- the right half of the air intake niche grille.
- two side screws for fastening the air intake niche grille,
- engine compartment seal,
- protective caps for the windshield wiper mechanism nuts.
Connect the battery.
Attention! To ensure the correct trajectory of the windshield wiper arms, it is necessary to initialize the windshield wiper motor.
Turn the windshield wiper switch from position (0) to position (1), then from position (1) to position (0).
Install the wiper arms.
