Removal
Place the vehicle on a two-post lift.
Remove the front wheel.
Loosen the wheel alignment lock nut (1).
Loosen the nut (2) securing the ball joint pin of the steering rod end.

Press out the ball joint using the tool (3).

Unscrew the steering rod by turning it counterclockwise and remember the number of turns of the rod for installation.
Remove the steering rod.
Installation
Tighten the steering rod to the number of turns noted during removal.
Install the tie rod end ball joint pin onto the steering knuckle.
Tighten the nut securing the ball joint pin of the steering rod end.
Tighten to the specified torque:
- nut for fastening the ball joint of the front suspension arm (37 Nm),
- wheel alignment lock nut (53 Nm).
Install the wheel.
Check the wheel alignment angles.
Adjust the wheel alignment angles if necessary.
