Removal



Place the vehicle on a two-post lift.

Drain the refrigerant from the refrigeration circuit using a refrigerant charging station.

Disconnect the battery.

Remove:
  • front bumper,
  • right front wheel,
  • accessory drive belt.

Models with K4M engine



Remove:
  • pipeline holder mounting bolt (1) on the compressor,
  • pipeline fitting bolts (2) on the compressor.

Models with K9K engine



Remove:
  • bolt (3) for fastening the pipeline holder to the compressor,
  • pipeline fitting bolts (4) on the compressor.

All models



Caution: To avoid refrigerant leakage, do not damage (do not deform, bend, etc.) pipeline.




Disconnect the compressor lines.

Seal the pipe openings.

Models with K4M engine



Disconnect the compressor connector (5).

Remove:
  • compressor mounting bolts (6),
  • compressor.

Models with K9K engine



Disconnect the compressor connector (7).

Remove:
  • compressor mounting bolts (8),
  • compressor.

Installation



Attention! Remove the plugs immediately before installing the part in place.


Remove parts from packaging only immediately before installation.

Check and replace refrigeration circuit line gaskets if necessary.

Clean the surface and the pipe gasket with engine cleaner.

Using a pneumatic gun, blow out the surface and seal of the connecting pipe.

Lubricate the surface of the connecting pipe and gasket with oil used for the air conditioning system.

Remove the plugs.

Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

Tighten to the specified torque:
  • compressor bolts (21 Nm),
  • pipeline fitting bolts (8 Nm).

Models with K4M engine



Tighten the pipeline fitting mounting bolt on the compressor to the required torque (21 Nm).

All models



Before filling the refrigeration circuit, find out the prescribed quantities of refrigerant and oil.

Charge the refrigeration circuit with refrigerant using a refrigerant charging station.

Check the operation of the air conditioning system.

Check for leaks.
