Suspension struts, bolted to the body and steering knuckles, consist of coil springs and built-in telescopic gas-filled shock absorbers. The anti-roll bar counteracts lateral body roll when cornering and provides better grip of the front wheels with the road surface. The front wheels are driven by two drive shafts.
The front suspension does not require maintenance.
Attention! Welding and straightening work on the parts of the front suspension is not allowed.
Always replace self-locking nuts and rusted bolts and nuts with new ones when carrying out repairs. Self-locking nuts can be recognized by their collar, which has a plastic insert. In the text, the replacement of nuts is specially emphasized.
When performing any work on the suspension, it is necessary to especially protect the CV joints and their cuffs from damage. For this purpose, it is recommended to wrap the outer, as well as the inner CV joints with rags.
