Roller jack and vehicle stands
Note. When using a roller jack, always place props under the vehicle.
Attention! It is forbidden to lift the car. by installing a jack under the front or rear suspension arm.
Depending on the type of roller jack, use Cha. 408-01 or Cha. 408-02 to install insert Cha. 280-02.
To raise the front or rear of the vehicle, use the factory jack support points.
Roller jack for side lift
Use spacer Cha. 280-02.
Place a jack under the sill panel under the front door.
Properly install the rib spacer groove under the body sill.
Supports for the car
When installing props under the car, the latter must be installed without fail:
- or under the ledges provided for lifting the car using a regular jack;
- or under the pin locks located behind the ledges.
Installation of supports under the rear part is carried out when lifting the car from the side.
Underbody lift
Note. Never use a two post lift if a four post lift is available.
If this is not possible, install the bearing surface of the lift foot under the rib under the threshold of the body at the level of the stop points of the standard jack.
The thrust bearings of the legs of the lift must be installed necessarily under the stop points for the transportable jack.
When the vehicle is placed on a two-post lift, the vehicle must be balanced for safety reasons.
When removing heavy knots (such power unit, rear axle or fuel tank, etc.) and depending on the load of the vehicle, the length of the vehicle and the position of the lift leg bearing, the vehicle may become unbalanced.
To avoid this, be sure to fasten the straps around and inside the body and connect them to the legs of the lift between the thrust bearings.
This type of belt is only designed to keep the vehicle stationary on a two post lift (it is strictly forbidden to use them for other purposes (for security reasons)).
Use only belts that are in good condition and clean (to avoid contamination of the interior or body). Do not overtighten the belts to avoid damage to the car (the lower sections of the sidewall of the body must be protected in places with a belt).
