Removing
1. Place the vehicle on a two post lift.
2. Drain the gearbox oil.
3. Remove the floating brake caliper (hang it to the chassis parts).
4. Remove the wheel hub nut, Rou wrench. 604-01.
5. On the left side, remove the three bolts securing the boot holder to the gear plug.
6. On the right side, remove the elastic pin using the bit from the B.Vi 31-01 kit
7. On both sides, remove the outer steering joint pin nut, then the drive shaft using a T.Av. 476.
8. Remove the shock absorber support upper bolt.
9. Push the drive shaft inward from the steering knuckle: puller T.Av. 1050-02
10. Turn away the lower bolt of fastening of a support of the shock-absorber and remove a power shaft.
Installation
1. On the left side, position the drive shaft horizontally.
2. On the right side:
- apply MOLYKOTE BR2 grease to the splines in the gearbox;
- install the drive shaft and check its location using the angle pin from the set B.Vi 31-01;
- install two new elastic pins using B.Vi 31-01 bit;
- Seal the exposed part of the resilient pin hole with RHODORSEAL 5661.
3. On both sides, install the drive shaft trunnion into the wheel hub, the trunnion should easily enter into it.
4. Installation is made in an order, the return to removal.
5. Fill the gearbox with oil.
6. Depress the brake pedal several times to bring the wheel cylinder pistons into contact with the brake linings.
