Removal and installation
1. Remove both clamps 6, avoiding damage to the groove on the hinge housing.
2. Remove as much grease as possible.
To replace the polymer cover, it will be necessary to remove parts from the gearbox side (hinge RC 462 or GI 69).
Note: Some right drive shafts are equipped with vibration dampers; if the polymer cover is damaged, replace the drive shaft assembly.
3. Remove the cover and replace it with a new one.
4. Divide the recommended amount of grease between the boot and the hinge housing in half.
Note: It is necessary to adhere to the amount of lubricant specified in the operating materials section.
5. Position the two protruding belts of the cover in the installation grooves.
6. Adjust the air content inside the cover.
7. Install and tighten the clamps.
