Power steering bracket (Renault Fluence 1)

Disconnect the battery. Remove the top engine cover.

Drain the refrigerant from the refrigeration circuit using a refrigerant charging station.

Remove:
  • right front wheel;
  • the front part of the right front fender liner;
  • engine sump guard mounting bolts;
  • engine oil pan protection;
  • accessory drive belt.

Disconnect the connector (4) of the intake manifold air temperature sensor.

Remove the oil filter.

Remove the generator and air conditioning compressor.

Remove the mounting bolts (10) and the multi-function bracket.

Remove the mounting bolts (10) and the multi-function bracket.

When installing, pre-tighten the mounting bolts 2 and 3 of the multifunctional bracket to the required torque of 5 Nm.

Loosen mounting bolts 2 and 3 by half a turn.



Retighten the multi-function bracket mounting bolts to the specified torque in the order shown (pre-tightening) 5 Nm. Tighten to the specified torque in the order shown:
  • mounting bolts 1, 5, 6, 4, 3, 2 multifunctional bracket 44 Nm;
  • fastening bolt 7 of the multifunctional bracket on the engine oil pan 25 Nm.
