Removal and installation of the hydraulic unit — installation (Renault Fluence 1)

Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

Caution: Point the tip of the hydraulic unit ground wire downwards to ensure a tight seal on the hydraulic unit ECU connector.


Install the air conditioner refrigeration circuit piping.

Install the air conditioner refrigeration circuit piping.


Tighten to the specified torque:
  • hydraulic unit bracket mounting bolts (6.5 Nm);
  • bolts for fastening pipelines on the hydraulic unit (14 Nm);
  • intake manifold mounting bolts (9 Nm);
  • bolts for fastening the hydraulic unit to the bracket (8 Nm).

Note: Replace the gasket each time the throttle body is removed.


Be sure to replace the gaskets at the ends of the air conditioner refrigeration circuit pipes.

Bleed the brake system.

Connect the battery.

Re-initialize the programmed throttle end positions.

Charge the refrigeration circuit with refrigerant.

Check the functionality of the air conditioning system by running the electric fan at maximum speed.

If uncooled air is supplied to the cabin, check for refrigerant leaks.
