Removing the tailgate can be done in two ways:
- without loops
- with loops.
Removing
Remove: rear loudspeaker, rear door inner handle, rear side door upholstery.
Disconnect:
- rear window motor connector (depending on equipment level),
- rear side door lock actuator connector.
Remove rear door wiring harness (depending on equipment level).
Remove the rear door stop mount.
Removal without loops
Loosen the nuts (1).
Removal with loops
Remove:
- nut (2),
- screws (3).
Installation
Attention! For any adjustment work or removal and installation of body parts that require the separation of threaded connections, restore the anti-corrosion protection of the joints and the tightness of the threaded connections using preformed beads of sealing mastic.
Installation is made in an order, the return to removal.
Adjust gaps and rear door protrusion.
Torque tighten:
- hinge nuts on the rear side door (28 Nm),
- nuts and bolts of fastening of loops of an average rack (28 Nm).
The following operations are performed when replacing the rear door.
Note: The rear side door can be disassembled on the vehicle before it is removed.
Disassembly
Remove:
- internal window sill seal of the rear door,
- rear window sill seal,
- rear door sliding glass,
- rear door glass groove,
- rear door manual window mechanism,
- outer rear door handle
- back door lock,
- rear door stop mount
- rear door lock cylinder.
Installation
Installation is made in an order, the return to removal.
Adjustment

Bolts and nuts on the middle rack | 28 Nm |
Follow the adjustment sequence (1), (2), (3), (4) And (5).
The position of the door can be adjusted in three ways:
- with the rear door nut,
- using bolts and nuts of the middle rack,
- with the rear door latch.
Adjustment with rear door nut
Loosen the bolts (1) rear side door.
Adjust gaps and protrusion relative to the rear door.
Torque tighten rear door nuts (28 Nm).
Adjustment with B-pillar bolts and nuts
Loosen the nut (2) and bolts (3) middle rack.
Adjust the gaps relative to the rear side door.
Torque tighten the bolts and nuts on the B-pillar (28 Nm).
Adjustment with the tailgate latch
Adjust the gaps relative to the rear side door.
