Removal
1. Drain some coolant from the system (see Section 1) to empty the expansion tank (the engine must be cold).
2. Loosen the belt securing the tank. Disconnect the hoses and remove the tank.
Inspection
3. Clean the tank and inspect it for cracks and other damage. Replace the tank if necessary. Also inspect the tank lid. If there are signs that coolant has been leaking through it, replace the cap.
Installation
4. Install in reverse order. Fill and bleed the cooling system (see Section 1).
