1. Remove the cylinder head.

2. Attach the pointer type indicator with the support plate to the cylinder block (see illustration).

3. Measure the cylinder liner protrusion relative to the cylinder block using a dial indicator. The protrusion value should be between 0.02 mm and 0.09 mm.

When installing new sleeves, the protrusion measurement is performed without the sealing ring on the bearing side of the sleeve.

The protrusions of two adjacent sleeves should not differ by more than 0.05 mm.
