Peculiarities

Depending on the configuration, cars can be equipped with:
  • independent lights for illuminating the lower part of the doors (light up when the corresponding door is opened);
  • lampshades (front and back) with delayed response;
  • the lights for illuminating the space under the instrument panel and the lights for illuminating the front seats, included in the same electrical circuit as the ceiling lights;
  • luggage compartment lights;
  • mirror illumination lights on both sun visors.

Operation of the response delay

Interior lighting devices (lampshades and lanterns 8 niche for feet) light up immediately upon command from the Central Electrification Committee:
  • when opening one of the doors or the luggage compartment;
  • when unlocking opening elements with the remote control (or using the "hands-free" function);
  • when removing the Renault card from the reader.

Depending on the situation, the interior lighting is switched off by the central electronic control unit with or without a delay.

Shutdown without delay

When locking opening elements using the remote control (opening elements are closed).

Delayed shutdown

After closing the last opening element.

When unlocking opening elements with the remote control.

When the ignition is turned on.

Note: If one of the opening elements is not closed for a long time and the ignition is not switched on or off, the UEC initiates switching off the interior lighting after approximately 15 minutes.

Interior lighting lamps

Depending on the location of the lamp and the vehicle configuration, the unit may include:
  • one central ceiling light switch;
  • central ceiling light switch and individual lighting lamp;
  • central ceiling light switch and two individual lighting lamps;
  • a central lamp switch with a dimmer and two individual lighting lamps.

Removal/installation

To remove the ceiling lamp;
  • detach the diffuser;
  • pull the latches;
  • remove the connector by turning it.

Under-dashboard lighting lamp

The vehicles are equipped with under-dash lights and under-front seat lights, which are included in the same electrical circuit as the ceiling light. They are located:
  • under the glove compartment (from the passenger side);
  • under the steering wheel 1;

Depending on the configuration, the mirrors may be equipped with backlighting lights installed in the roof trim.

The switch is located on the cover 1 of the mirror in the sun visor 2. Power is supplied to the lamp 3 through the central mount 4 of the sun visor.

Note: The operation of the switch can be checked through the mounting contacts:
  • the mirror cover is closed (the switch is open) = the lamp does not light = the resistance is equal to infinity,
  • the mirror cover is open (the switch is closed) = the light is on = the resistance is zero,
