Removing
1. In the engine compartment, disconnect the cable from the clutch release fork.
2. Step on the pedal to pull out the cable.
3. Inside the cabin, remove:
- bolt 1;
- stiffener 2;
- nut from the mounting axis 3 of the clutch pedal.
4. Remove the end of the cable from its socket in the toothed sector of the wear compensator.
5. Remove the cable sheath retainer from the bulkhead.
6. Remove the cable completely from the engine compartment.
Installation
1. From the engine compartment, pull the cable through the hole in the bulkhead.
2. Install the end of the cable into place in the toothed sector of the wear compensator.
3. Install the clutch pedal.
4. Check the reset of the wear compensator ratchet latches.
5. In the engine compartment, install the cable on the clutch release fork.
6. Check up correctness of installation of a clamp of a cover of a cable on a bulkhead board.
7. Depress the clutch pedal to lock the cable sheath latch in place on the bulkhead, cable length adjustment is automatic.
Note. To ensure proper clutch operation, make sure that:
- the gear sector normally rotates on the axis;
- latches freely return to their original position;
- the cable is always taut on the clutch release fork and there is at least 20 mm of cable length reserve for its further tension;
- fork travel is within X = 27.4-30.7 mm.
