Place the car on a lift.

Remove:
  • plug (1) of the engine oil filler neck;
  • oil dipstick (2);
  • protective screen.

Place a container under the engine to collect the oil.

Remove:
  • drain plug of the engine oil pan (3);
  • engine oil pan drain plug gasket.

Allow the oil to drain into an oil collection container.

Install the new drain plug gasket, observing the installation direction.

Install the drain plug on the engine oil pan.

Tighten to the specified torque of 34 Nm using a torque wrench and an 8 mm square drain plug socket.

Remove any traces of oil from the engine oil pan with a rag.

Remove the retainer from the oil collection container.

Install the engine oil pan guard.
