Removal
1. Remove the clutch pedal as described in Section 6.
2. Remove the spring clip, then remove the pin securing the booster pushrod to the brake pedal. Pay attention to the spacer gasket located on the inside of the pedal.
3. Completely remove the pedal pivot shaft and remove the brake pedal from the mounting bracket, noting the correct position of the pivot bushings (see illustration).
2.3. Remove the steering axle and move the brake pedal out of the mounting bracket.
4. Inspect the bushings for damage or signs of wear and replace them if necessary.
Installation
5. Apply a small amount of general purpose grease to the contact surfaces of the pivot bushings. Install the bushings into the brake pedal, remembering that the thicker bushing should be on the left side of the pedal. Make sure the bushing protrusions fit into the pedal slots (see illustration).
2.5. Make sure that the protrusions of the mounting bushings fit into the slots of the pedal (marked with arrows).
6. Press the pedal and bushing assembly into the mounting bracket. Make sure the pedal is properly connected to the booster push rod, then insert the pedal pivot pin (on the right side of the mounting bracket).
7. Place the spacer on the inside of the pedal. Install the push rod pin and secure it with the spring clip.
8. Install the clutch pedal (see Section 6).
