Required special tool
- Mot. 1233-01 Threaded rods for removing the subframe.
Tightening torques, Nm
- Subframe front mounting bolts: 62.
- Rear subframe bolts: 105.
- Engine oil pan bolts: 15.
- Steering shaft universal joint yoke bolt: 30.
- Tie Rod Bolt: 62.
- Wheel bolts: 90.
Removing
1. Place the vehicle on a two post lift.
2. Disconnect the wires from the battery terminals.
3. Drain the engine oil.
4. Remove.
- front wheels;
- nut and screw of the terminal connection of the universal joint yoke of the steering shaft, having previously displaced the protective cover.
5. Remove:
- press out the fingers of the ball joints of the suspension arms from the steering knuckles;
- connecting rod between the subframe and the body;
- Disconnect the gearshift linkage from the gear selection lever;
- bolt 1 and loosen bolt 2 of the tie rod.
6. Remove:
- details of fastening of the lower bumper;
- silence the intake pipe
- mounting bolts 3.
7. Remove the subframe bolts and fit tool Mot. 1233-01.
8. Using the threaded tool Mot. 12 Gradually lower the subframe until measurements are approximately X1 = 7 cm and X2 = 9 cm (fig 4.21).
9. Remove the oil pan.
Installation
1. Clean the oil pan.
2. Install a new gasket, supplied with spare parts.
3. Install in the reverse order of removal.
