General information
These cars are necessarily equipped with an automatic adjustment system for each headlight depending on the height of the body, acceleration, braking and vehicle speed, as well as a headlight washer.
Attention. It is forbidden to turn on a lamp that is not installed in the headlight (it's dangerous for the eyes).
Xenon lamps ignite at 20,000 V and operate at 85 V AC. Allow all to cool before removing «high voltage blocks».
Before performing any work, be sure to disconnect the battery, starting with the negative terminal.
Note. The angle of inclination of the light beams in the vertical plane is regulated by me depending on the speed of the vehicle.
At speeds above 30 km/h, the illumination range increases.
These bulbs do not have a filament. Light radiation in such lamps is generated by two electrodes enclosed in a quartz flask containing compressed gas (xenon) and mercury vapours.
Each headlight has a high voltage block (ballast).
The high voltage unit and the xenon bulb can be replaced separately from the headlight.
The main beam of the headlights is supplemented by xenon lamps, if the low beam is off, the xenon lamp is not supplied with voltage and the light signaling is produced only by the high beam of the headlights.
If the light (xenon lamps) switched on, when the light signaling is turned on, the main beam of the headlights is turned on and voltage is applied to the electromagnet (xenon lamps continue to burn). This electromagnet changes the luminous flux of the low beam headlights.
In the event of a malfunction of the electromagnet or the system for changing the luminous flux, it is necessary to replace the headlight.
Checking the electromagnet
When a light signal is given (with low beam off) turning on the main beam of the headlights must be accompanied by power supply to the electromagnet (its inclusion is audible).
Checking the system for changing the luminous flux
Attention. Don't stand in front of the headlights (it's dangerous for the eyes).

Disconnect the headlight bulb connectors.
Install a headlight adjuster in front of the headlights.
Turn on low beam headlights.
Move the headlight and turn signal switch lever to the high beam position.
The color flow should change.
