Note. Detailed technical characteristics of units and vehicle systems, as well as tightening torques, are given in the tables of the relevant sections of this book.
To maintain your vehicle's operational reliability at a high level, follow the Renault maintenance program provided in the service and warranty books.
The checks listed below should be performed regularly.
1. Coolant: the level must be between the marks «Min» And «Max» on the expansion tank.
2. Engine oil: the level must be between the marks «Min» And «Max».
3. Power steering fluid: the level must lie between the marks «Min» And «Max».
4. Washer fluid: the reservoir must be filled. At temperatures around zero, add a frost-resistant agent.
5. Brake and clutch fluid: the level must be between the marks «Min» And «Max _».
Attention. Always remember that the radiator fan may start automatically some time after the engine is turned off.
Annual Interim Inspection
For vehicles with an oil change interval of at least once every two years, an optional inspection is recommended, including the following operations:
- checking the oil level in the engine;
- checking the level of the working fluid, the condition and tightness of the brake fluid circuit;
- checking the coolant level;
- checking the level of the working fluid, the condition and tightness of the power steering system;
- checking the fluid level in the washer reservoir;
- electronic diagnostics of the battery with a tester;
- electronic diagnostics of the ECU;
- the condition of the windshield and rear-view mirrors;
- wear of the windscreen cleaner and rear window cleaner brushes;
- checking outdoor lighting and signaling;
- tire condition and air pressure (including spare wheel or aerosol tire repair kit);
- condition of protective covers, suspension pads and ball tips;
- checking the exhaust pipeline;
- tightness of the front and rear shock absorbers;
- wear of the front and rear brake pads and brake discs.
