E-series engines
Removal
1. Disconnect the air intake ducts from the air cleaner housing.
2. Remove the three screws securing the air filter to the throttle body. Remove the air filter and discard the O-ring.
Installation
3. Install in reverse order, using a new O-ring.
F3P engine
Removal
4. Disconnect the high voltage wire from the distributor cap.
5. Loosen the clamp and disconnect the hot air duct from the elbow pipe on the cylinder head. Also disconnect the outlet hose from the air cleaner housing (see illustrations).
2.5a. Disconnect the hot air duct from the elbow...
2.5b....then loosen the clamp (marked with an arrow) and disconnect the outlet hose - F3P engines.
6. Disconnect the temperature control vacuum hose from the valve on the intake housing.
7. Remove the two bolts securing the air filter to the battery platform (see illustration).
2.7. Unscrew the two bolts (marked with arrows), fastening the air filter to the battery platform - F3P engines.
8. Lift the air cleaner assembly, separating the cold air duct from its base (see illustration).
2.8 Remove the air cleaner assembly - F3P engines.
9. If it is necessary to remove the cold air duct, remove the mudguard from the front wheel arch. Then separate the air duct tip (see illustration).
2.9. The end of the cold air duct is attached with a bracket inside the front wheel arch - F3P engines.
Installation
10. Install in reverse order.
