You will need: coolant, a clean rag, a container with a capacity of at least 10 liters for draining the coolant, pliers.
Warnings:
- Replace coolant only when the engine is cold.
- Coolant is toxic, so be careful when handling it.
- When starting the engine, the expansion tank cap must be closed. Screw the tank cap tightly. The cooling system is under pressure when the engine is running, so coolant may leak from under a poorly screwed cap.
1. Place the vehicle on a level, horizontal surface.
2. Unscrew the expansion tank cap.
3. Unscrew the air release valve plug.
4. Remove the engine crankcase guard (see "Removal and installation mudguards and engine crankcase protection").
5. Using pliers, squeeze the clamp securing the lower radiator hose and slide the clamp along the hose...
6. ... remove the hose from the radiator pipe and drain the liquid into a container.
Warning: Antifreeze is poisonous to all living things. To avoid polluting the environment, drain it through a funnel (for example, made from a plastic soda bottle).
7. After draining the coolant, tighten the air bleed valve plug.
8. Fill the expansion tank with water to flush the system.
9. Apply compressed air to the expansion tank to blow out the cooling system to remove as much water as possible.
10. Connect the lower radiator hose.
11. Fill with coolant (the air release valve plug must be removed).
12. After air stops coming out of the valve and liquid appears from it, tighten the valve plug and the expansion tank plug.
13. Start the engine, bring the crankshaft speed to 2500 min⁻¹ and let it run until the fan turns on. Then turn off the engine, check the coolant level and, if necessary, top it up in the expansion tank to the "MAX" mark.
14. Install the engine crankcase guard.
Note. While the engine is running, monitor the coolant temperature on the gauge. If the gauge scale is completely shaded and the radiator fan does not turn on, turn on the heater and check what kind of air passes through it. If the heater delivers heated air, the fan is most likely faulty, and if it delivers cold air, then an air lock has formed in the engine cooling system. To remove it, turn off the engine, let it cool down and unscrew the expansion tank cap. Start the engine, let it run for 3-5 minutes and tighten the tank cap.

- To better fill the system without air locks, periodically squeeze the radiator hoses with your hand.
- After several days of vehicle operation after replacing the coolant, check its level. Replenish the level if necessary.
- If after a very short time the color of the fresh liquid turns brown, then you have poured in a fake, to which the manufacturer "forgot" to add corrosion inhibitors.
