Removal and installation the steering wheel
You will need a TORX T50 key.
1. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.
2. Set the steering wheel to a position corresponding to the straight-ahead movement of the vehicle.

3. Remove the airbag module (see "Removal and installation the driver's airbag").

4. Remove the steering wheel mounting bolt while holding the wheel from turning.
Helpful Hint: You can prevent the steering wheel from turning using the ignition locking mechanism of the anti-theft device. To do this, remove the key from the ignition and turn the steering wheel until the shaft is fixed by the anti-theft device. After loosening the steering wheel mounting bolt, turn off the anti-theft device by inserting the key into the ignition and set the steering wheel to the straight-ahead position again.
Warning: Do not completely remove the steering wheel mounting bolt to avoid injury when the wheel is pulled off the steering shaft splines. Completely remove the bolt only after the wheel has been moved.

5. Remove the steering wheel from the steering shaft.

6. Remove the wire with the airbag connector through the hole and remove the steering wheel.
7. Install the steering wheel and removed parts in the reverse order of removal. Replace the steering wheel mounting bolt each time the steering wheel is removed. Tighten the steering wheel mounting bolt to 44 N·m (4.4 kgf·m).
