1. Block the front wheels, then jack up the rear of the vehicle and support it on axle stands. Remove the rear wheels.
2. You can quickly check the thickness of the lining on each brake pad through the hole in the caliper. If the brake lining is worn to the specified Specifications thickness or stronger, all four pads must be replaced as a matched set.
3. For a more thorough inspection, the brake pads must be removed and cleaned. See Section 9.
