Hood
Removal
1. Have an assistant support the hood in the open position.
2. If the original hood is to be installed, mark the position of the hinges on its front edge to facilitate adjustment of its position during installation.
3. Remove the nuts securing the hood to the hinges (two nuts on each side), then carefully remove the hood.
Installation
4. Install in reverse order, paying attention to the following.
5. Align the hinges with the marks made on the hood before removal.
6. Carefully close the hood and check its centering relative to the adjacent panels.
7. If necessary, center the hood by changing the position of its front edge on the hinges. The rear hood position can be adjusted by moving the hood lock assembly on the bulkhead.
Hinges
8. The hood hinges are welded to the body and cannot be removed.
