You will need: in summer - a concentrate of a special liquid for the washer reservoir, diluted with clean water; in winter - antifreeze.

Helpful tips:
  • Freezing of the liquid in the washer reservoir will lead to its destruction. Use antifreeze liquid from well-known companies that does not contain methanol, which is dangerous to health.
  • When the ambient temperature rises, do not dilute the antifreeze to save money. In addition to raising the freezing point, the cleaning properties of the diluted liquid are greatly reduced.
  • With the first frosts, there is a huge demand for antifreeze windshield washer fluid. Some unscrupulous sellers, taking advantage of this, sell low-quality fluids, so it is better to buy it in advance. It is also useful to conduct a simple test. Pour some liquid into a plastic cup and carefully place it in the freezer of the refrigerator for several hours. If the liquid has frozen or ice crystals have appeared in it, it is not suitable for use in the winter in your car's windshield washer.

3. If the washer jet is clogged, clean it with a sewing needle or steel wire. You can also use it to adjust the direction of the washer fluid stream.

Warning: Use only unhardened needles or pins to clean and adjust the jet. A broken tip of a hardened needle cannot be removed from the jet hole.
