The interior rearview mirror is mounted on a bracket glued to the inside of the windshield. If necessary, the mirror can be removed without using tools in two ways.
With the first method...
...move the mirror ball support upward and remove the mirror together with the support.
For the second method, do the following.
1. Remove the mirror from the ball joint, overcoming the elastic resistance of its clamps.
2. Slide the ball joint up and remove it from the bracket.
3. Install the interior rearview mirror in the reverse order of removal, depending on the removal method used.
