General description of section 2F (Renault Clio 1)

This portion of Section 2 includes general procedures for rebuilding the cylinder head, cylinder block/crankcase, and internal engine components.

Information ranges from advice on preparing for an overhaul and purchasing replacement parts, to step-by-step procedures for removing, inspecting, rebuilding, and installing internal engine components.

All instructions provided assume the engine has been removed from the vehicle. Information regarding engine repair in the engine compartment, as well as regarding the removal and installation of external engine components, is provided in Parts A (c-series engine), Parts B (d-series engine), Parts C (e-series engines) or Part D (f-series engines) of this Section, and in Chapter 6 this Part.
