Erroneous actions when starting the engine must be excluded. There should be fuel in the tank, the pressure in the fuel system and compression are normal, the battery is charged, the starter rotates with a sufficient number of revolutions.
Attention! If the high pressure fuel lines are removed, their joints must first be cleaned with a cold cleaner.
Engine does not start or starts poorly
Preheat system not working
Check the preheater.
Fuel cut-off valve not opening
Switch the ignition on and off alternately. The solenoid valve should work and clicks will be heard as a result.
Fuel supply is insufficient. Faulty fuel supply system
Check if fuel is being supplied.
- A) fuel hoses are kinked, clogged, leaking, porous or loose
Clean fuel lines and replace if necessary.
- b) clogged fuel filter
Replace fuel filter.
- V) clogged fuel tank ventilation, clogged strainer in the tank
Clean the ventilation and filter mesh.
Faulty injectors
Check the injectors by alternately loosening the union nuts and checking the fuel supply.
Idling speed set incorrectly, start of injection pump supply
Check the idle speed and the beginning of the supply of the injection pump. Adjust if necessary (work is done in the workshop).
Faulty injection pump
Install a new pump to test.
The engine runs jerky at idle and when pulling away
Weak fastening of the fuel hoses on the injection pump or on the fuel filter
Replace fuel hoses.
Idle speed set incorrectly
Adjust idle speed.

Too much fuel consumption
Air filter dirty
Replace the air filter element.
Leaky fuel system
Perform a visual inspection of all fuel lines (inlet, outlet and main), fuel filter, fuel pump and injection pump.
Clogged fuel return line
Blow out the outlet pipe from the injection pump to the fuel tank. Replace the control valve on the return line.
Incorrectly set the start of injection pump supply
Adjust the feed start.
Preheat indicator light does not light up
Burnt out indicator light on the instrument panel
Replace light bulb.
Malfunction in the preheating system. Faulty glow plugs
Check spark plugs and replace if necessary. Check the control unit.
