Front door



Removal



1. Remove the door trim.

2. Remove the inner part of the impact converter.

3. Lower the window completely by placing the handle on the window lift shaft or connecting the power plug of the power window lift.

4. Carefully remove the inner glass seal by prying it off with a plastic wedge (see illustration).

5. Raise the glass approximately 3/4 of the opening, use a 13 mm socket wrench to unscrew the pins A and remove the glass from the lifting mechanism (see illustration).

6. Lower the glass down and remove the guide segment 1 (see illustration).

7. Remove the glass from the support strip 2 of the window regulator (see illustration 21.6).

8. Tilt the glass forward (see arrow 3) and remove it by lifting it up in the direction of arrow 4 (see illustration).

Installation



9. Insert the glass into the window opening.

Attention! Guide segment 1 is secured with a rivet. The segment can be replaced without removing the glass.


10. Secure the glass to the window regulator support bar.



11. Replace the inner glass seal by first inserting its rear end (see arrow 1), and then the front one. In this case, the seal will need to be slightly bent. After that, press the seal in the center (see arrow 2 in the illustration).

12. Replace the inner part of the impact transducer and the door trim.

Attention! There is no need to adjust the door glass.

13. Remove the door trim.

14. Lower the window completely by putting on the window lift handle.

15. Remove the inner glass seal on the window opening by carefully prying the strip with a plastic wedge.

16. Raise the glass approximately 3/4 of the opening and unscrew the mounting bolts A (see illustration).

17. Press the glass back as shown by arrow 1 in Illustration 21.16 to remove it from the lever. Then lower the glass completely down.

18. Remove cover B and unscrew the screw underneath it (see illustration 21.16).

19. Unscrew bolt C (see illustration 21.16).

20. Turn the rear glass guide 1/4 turn (see arrow 1 in the illustration), so that it is released from the mount. After this, remove the guide by pushing it in the direction of arrow 2 (see illustration).

21. Remove the glass by pushing it upwards. If necessary, remove the window together with the seal.

Installation



22. Fix the holder to the glass so that the distance D is equal to 122 mm (see illustration).

Further installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

Attention! Both bolts A are tightened with the glass raised (see illustration 21.16).
