Removal and installation wheel mudguards and fender liners (Renault Sandero 1)

The front and rear wheel arches are fitted with mudguards that protect the body from the abrasive effects of sand and stones thrown up by the wheels. Mudguards mounted behind the front wheels protect the body sills. The rear mudguards protect cars moving behind from damage by stones flying out from under the wheels.

You will need: TORX keys T20 and T30, a flat-blade screwdriver.

Note: The work is shown for mudguards and fender liners on the right side of the car. The left mudguards and fender liners are removed and installed in the same way. Before removing the mudguards and fender liners, you must first remove the corresponding wheel.

To remove the front wheel mudguard, perform the following steps.



1. Remove the screw securing the mudguard to the body sill...



2. ...and two screws for fastening to the front wing.





3. Unscrew the fastening clamp to the body cross member...



4. ...and remove the mudguard.

5. Install the front wheel mudguard in the reverse order of removal.

To remove the front mudguard, perform the following operations.

1. Remove the front wheel mudguard (see above).



2. Using a screwdriver, remove the fender liner holder.





3. Unscrew the pin A and, using a screwdriver, remove the pin B securing the front mudguard to the body.



4. Remove the screw securing the mudguard liner to the front wing...



5. ...and remove the fender liner.

6. Install the front fender liner in the reverse order of removal.
