Warning: Before performing any work on the electrical system, read the safety precautions given in Section 5A.

The vehicle is equipped with a 12V electrical system with a negative ground terminal. Electricity for the lamps and electrical equipment is provided by a lead-acid battery, which is charged by a generator.

This Section covers repair and maintenance procedures for various non-engine related electrical components. Information regarding the battery, alternator and starter can be found in Section 5A.

Before working on any component in the electrical system, the negative battery terminal must be disconnected.
