Headlight adjustment
Proper headlight adjustment is essential for driving safety. Fine adjustment of the headlights is only possible with the help of a special adjustment device. Therefore, this manual only indicates the location of the adjusting screws, as well as what conditions must be met in order to be able to install the headlights correctly (see illustration 24.2).
11. Bring the tire pressure up to the prescribed value.
12. Fill up a full tank of fuel. If the fuel tank is only half full, place a load of 30 kg in the trunk.
The empty car must have a load of 75 kg (one man) to the driver's seat.
13. Put the car on a level (horizontal) surface.
14. Press the front end several times to seat the front wheel suspension.
15. Install the headlight hydrocorrector on the instrument panel to «0».
Adjustment of the optical axis of the headlights should be carried out only when the dipped beam is on. The tilt angle for conventional headlights is 13 cm at 10 m (=1,3%), and for fog lights - 20 cm by 10 m.
As for the adjustment of the position of the fog lamps, they can only be adjusted in height with the bolt C (see illustration 24.2).
