Over time, incandescent lamps of lanterns and headlights wear out. Therefore, even if the lamps appear to be in good condition, they should be replaced approximately every two years. This does not apply to halogen lamps, which, for example, can be installed in the main headlights.
The service life of halogen lamps, as a rule, is longer and they are replaced when a defect occurs.
An incandescent lamp with reduced light intensity can be identified by black deposits on the glass bulb.
Switch off the corresponding current consumer before replacing the incandescent lamp.
Attention! Do not touch the glass flasks with your fingers. Fingerprints evaporate and then deposit on the reflector, causing it to tarnish. Incandescent lamps must only be replaced with lamps of the same design. If, through negligence, stains still remain on the bulb of the lamp, then remove them with a clean, lint-free cloth, moistened with alcohol.
