Replacing the exhaust system suspension cushions (Renault Sandero 1)

Rubber suspension mounts for the exhaust system are replaced if, due to damage or excessive deformation, the system elements begin to knock when in contact with the body or other vehicle components.

All pillows are changed using the same techniques, so the replacement process is shown using one pillow as an example.

1. Place the vehicle on an inspection pit or lift.



2. Use a screwdriver to pry...



3. ...and remove the cushion from the exhaust system element bracket.

4. Similarly, remove the cushion from the car body bracket.

Helpful advice.

If necessary, the damaged pillow can simply be cut off.

5. Install the new cushion in the reverse order of removal.
