The idle speed of these engines cannot be adjusted independently. If the nominal idle speed values specified below are not maintained, the engine control unit must be checked at a RENAULT workshop. If necessary, the unit must be adjusted accordingly or replaced.
Please note! Vehicles with a 98 hp diesel engine do not have an accelerator cable. The accelerator pedal position is registered by a potentiometer on the pedal and transmitted as electrical resistance to the engine control unit.
Nominal values of idle speed
Idle speed:
- without turning on other equipment - 825±25 rpm
- with front window heater on - 1000 rpm
- with air conditioning on - 875 rpm
Maximum number of revolutions (without turning on the equipment) — 4800±100 rpm
Maximum number of revolutions (with equipment turned on) — 5800±100 rpm
