Attention! The connecting wire of the lambda probe must not be connected in case of a break or soldered. If the wire is damaged, it must be replaced.
Removing
1. Place the vehicle on jack stands.
2. Disconnect plug 2 (see illustration).
8.2 Disconnect plug 2
3. Unscrew a lambda probe 1 from a reception pipe.
Installation
Attention! When replacing a lambda probe, the same model must be installed.
4. Clean the lambda probe thread.
5. Lubricate lambda probe threads with BOSCH Oxygen Sensor Grease. New sensors are shipped with grease on the threads.
Attention! The lubricant is applied only to the threads and must not get into the groove on the sensor body or into its holes. If possible, do not touch the sensor body with your hands so as not to contaminate it.
Attention! If the lambda probe is installed without thread lubrication, then over time, the threads seize and splice at the landing site. Subsequently, the sensor cannot be unscrewed.
6. Screw in the lambda probe and tighten it with a force of 40 Nm.
7. Connect the plug with the lambda probe power cable.
