The lambda probe is designed to regulate harmful impurities in the CO of gasoline engines. It is installed in the exhaust pipe before the catalytic converter or on the exhaust manifold. The procedure for removing and installing the lambda probe is shown using the example of gasoline engines E7J, K7M, F3R and F7R.
Attention! The lambda probe connecting wire must not be connected if it is broken or soldered. If the wire is damaged, it must be replaced.
Removal
1. Place the vehicle on jack stands.
2. Disconnect plug 2 (see illustration).

Installation
Attention! When replacing the lambda probe, it is necessary to install the same model.
4. Clean the lambda probe threads.
5. Lubricate the threads of the lambda probe with BOSCH grease for oxygen sensors. New sensors are supplied with grease on the threads.
Attention! Apply the lubricant only to the thread and do not let it get into the groove on the sensor body or into its holes. If possible, do not touch the sensor body with your hands to avoid contaminating it.
Attention! If the lambda probe is installed without thread lubrication, over time the thread will jam and fuse at the seat. Subsequently, it will be impossible to unscrew the sensor.
6. Screw in the lambda probe and tighten it to 40 Nm.
7. Connect the plug with the lambda probe power wire.
