To carry out systematic checks of the fuel injection system or to eliminate detected faults, special measuring devices are required. They are usually very expensive and are available only in specialized workshops. For this reason, this manual only provides the main points for checking the ignition and fuel injection systems.
1. Check the battery condition and voltage, see the relevant chapter.
2 Check all fuses, see the relevant chapter.
3. Disconnect all plugs and connectors of the relevant system, and then reconnect them. Check the condition of the plug connections and the fastening of the wires in the engine compartment.
4. Check the fit of the ground (-) wire terminals and their contacts.
5. Check the condition and tightness of the hoses and pipes. Make sure there are no porosity or cracks. Tighten any loose connections.
